While those trips absolutely have their place, I couldn't help but wonder...

Hiya!
We are Laura & Ray the faces behind Froth Nugget.
After our own Maldives boat trip, we couldn't stop talking about bringing the Froth Nugget community back with us.
Ray brings the laughs, the stories and usually talks everyone into a post-surf frothy.
I'm still building confidence in the water myself, so I know what it's like to get nervous before a session or celebrate finally sticking that one wave.
This trip isn't about being the best surfer on the boat it's about sharing waves, cheering each other on and leaving with a boat full of new mates. Yeeeeeew!

Frequently asked questions
Is this trip right for me?
If you can confidently catch and ride green waves, paddle out on your own, and duck dive or turtle roll your board, you'll probably fit right in.
You don't need to be the best surfer on the boat (trust me, I won't be 😂), but you should feel comfortable surfing shoulder- to head-high waves and be keen to surf a couple of times a day.
Is this a coaching trip?
Nope! This isn't a surf camp or coaching retreat.
We'll have a local surf guide showing us around and taking us to the best waves each day, while Ray and I are there to make sure everyone has an unreal time. There'll be plenty of encouragement but you should already be comfortable surfing independently.
Why do I have to apply?
Because we're not trying to fill a boat, we're trying to create an unforgettable trip.
We'll review every application to make sure everyone is at a similar surf level and to create a fun, welcoming group.
We're also aiming for a nice mix of guys and girls so it's not just one sided.
What happens after I apply?
We'll read through your application and get back to you within a few days.
If you're a good fit, we'll send you everything you need to lock in your spot.
How do payments work?
Once your application has been reviewed and we think you are a great fit we will email you a payment link to secure your place with a 30% deposit, followed by three smaller instalments before departure. Prefer to pay in full? You can do that at checkout too.
What if I need to cancel?
We understand that sometimes life happens, so we strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance as soon as you pay your deposit to cover unexpected events such as illness, injury or other circumstances that may prevent you from travelling.
- A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place.
- If you need to cancel more than 2 months before departure, we'll refund any payments you've made, excluding your non-refundable 30% deposit.
- If you cancel within 2 months of departure, payments are non-refundable, as we've committed to the boat and other trip costs.
- If you find someone to take your place (subject to our approval), or we're able to fill your spot from our waitlist, we'll happily transfer your booking or refund any eligible payments where possible.
- In the unlikely event that we need to cancel the trip, you'll receive a full refund of all payments made, including your deposit.
We'll always do our best to help if your circumstances change and work with you to find the best possible outcome.
